TUI WORKWIDE Lanzarote – Sanna Väre

As a global travel group, TUI wants to enable its employees to work abroad from time to time. The pandemic in particular has shown that flexible working is possible. For this reason, TUI WORKWIDE was launched in 2021. Colleagues can work abroad for up to 30 days a year to have a healthy work-life balance. This balance is important for a fulfilling career and overall personal well-being.

Sanna Väre is a Digital Sales Optimisation Specialist at TUI in Finland. With TUI WORKWIDE she moved her workplace from the north to the south for a few days – more precisely to the Canary Island of Lanzarote.

Here is her story

"I had the privilege to use our great employee promotion TUI WORKWIDE for the first time. So I packed my laptop and daughter on the plane, left the Finnish -20 degrees behind and flew to the beautiful island of Lanzarote.

I worked for a few days and took a few days as holiday to enjoy the sun. It was a truly inspiring experience: I took a dip in the pool during my lunch break and watched the palm trees from the balcony while I worked. Add to that the atmosphere of happy tourists on holiday – I am so grateful to have had this opportunity and I will certainly do it again!

A useful tip for those of you who are used to working with external screens: I brought an HDMI cable from home and connected it to the TV in our room. That way I had a really big screen."
