TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel platform, has announced the winners of the 2020 edition of the Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best (previously known as Travelers’ Choice) awards, in which travellers from around the world placed four hotels from the RIU chain located in Sri Lanka (1), Cape Verde (2) and Jamaica (1) among the 25 best hotels in the “Best All-Inclusive” category. These hotels were also awarded in the Travelers’ Choice (previously known as Certificate of Excellence) awards, together with another 65 RIU hotels, bringing the total up to 69 prize-winners.
The Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best are awarded on the basis of millions of opinions and comments written by travellers from around the world on the TripAdvisor website. These awards recognise the quality and service of the hotels in specific categories and areas. The winning hotels in the “Best All-Inclusive” category were: Riu Sri Lanka, Riu Palace Cabo Verde, Riu Funana and Riu Palace Jamaica.
The Travelers’ Choice, which are also awarded based on user opinions, recognise the companies that consistently receive excellent evaluations on TripAdvisor. The RIU hotels awarded by destination are:
