RIU takes you to the dizzying heights of Chicago with the opening of its new and impressive rooftop bar

  • Located on the 27th floor of the new skyscraper, this bar boasts spectacular panoramic views of the city from its impressive glass balcony
  • The Riu Plaza Chicago opened its doors in July and has now added an extra service in this destination with the opening of the elegant terrace

RIU Hotels & Resorts presents its new and exclusive rooftop terrace at the recently opened Riu Plaza Chicago. Customers and guests can enjoy unique views of the city’s skyline and savour a wide range of food options in this innovative space, located on the building’s 27th floor.

The terrace of RIU’s hotel in Chicago also has an extra attraction that’s not for the faint-hearted: a spectacular glass balcony hanging a dizzying 88 metres above the heart of Chicago.

In addition to a postcard snapshot of the city, customers can enjoy a varied lunch and dinner menu offering international food options at The Rooftop. What’s more, there is an extensive selection of cocktails, spirits and wines to make sure guests have an unforgettable stay in the centre of the Windy City.

The hotel's design and interior decoration is inspired by the Chicago School and this style continues in the new terrace, which is open to guests, visitors and residents alike. The design and service of the new rooftop bar in Chicago is inspired by the 360º bar at Madrid’s hotel Riu Plaza España. Just like its predecessor, it is also set to become one of the most popular meeting points in the city centre.

The 4-star Riu Plaza Chicago with 390 rooms boasts an outstanding location in the heart of the city at 150 E Ontario Street in the renowned Magnificent Mile shopping area, close to attractions like Willis Tower and Navy Pier.
