TUI Germany has recognised the outstanding work of RIU hotels by giving the Mallorcan chain 72 TUI awards. The German tour operator has given awards in various categories to a total of 42 RIU hotelsacross the four continents on which it operates. The awards received by the hotel chain are as follows:
Since its creation in 1997, the primary mission of the TUI Environmental Champion (TUI Umwelt Champion) prize is to recognise the hotels that best meet technical and organisational requirements related to sustainable and responsible hotel management, for example in measures to conserve energy and water. This year RIU Hotels was awarded 23 prizes in this category.
This is a prize that TIU has been awarding since 2015 to the hotels that receive the highest ratings from the German tour operator's customers. All the awarded RIU hotels were assessed through a survey TUI conducted of its customers, and they achieved a rating of 8.7 out of 10 at minimum. The TUI TOP Quality seal is a vote of confidence that leads TUI customers to the accommodations the German tour operator considers to be first-class. In this category, RIU has received a total of 38 awards.
The TUI Family Champion award is reserved for the best family hotels, and is also selected by TUI's customers. With this distinction, the awarded RIU hotels stand out for being ideal for families, thanks to the facilities and services they offer their guests. The Mallorcan chain received nine awards.
Of all the prizes awarded by the German tour operator, the TUI Holly is the highest recognition a hotel can receive. Since 1994, TUI customers have been rating their best hotels, so it symbolises everything that makes vacations perfect with TUI: a passion for detail, first-class service and an extraordinary gastronomic offer. In this case, there were two RIU hotels awarded this prize for excellence.
The 42 RIU hotels that were awarded different prizes are the following:
