What do you enjoy most in your job with TUI in Greece?

It is great to share my knowledge and experience about the island with the guests. I have fallen in love with Rhodes and want to show everything to the customers. Hundreds of guests arrive every day, which always gives a new opportunity to create smiles.

What is special about Rhodes?

It's an island with a great history – from the ancient Greek Acropolis in Lindos to the medieval old town of Rhodes with its Street of Knights and its Grand Master Palace. We also have great natural spots like the butterfly valley, mountains or the Seven Springs. Shopaholics will enjoy all the amazing boutiques in Rhodes new town.

Which beach would you recommend in Rhodes?

The Anthony Quinn bay is famous for its clear waters and obviously for the actor itself. This beach was the filming spot for many movies, such as “The Guns of Navarone“ and “Zorba the Greek“. I think the small beaches around Kallithea are the best. Locals prefer them because they are perfect for exploring the great underwater world by snorkeling.

What local food should visitors try in Rhodes?

All Greek food is amazing but you should definitely try the seafood. All seafood is fresh coming straight out of the sea to your plate. The octopus is my favourite. It goes very well with a glass of Retsina, a white wine, and a beautiful sunset.

What is the best experience in your region that no visitor should miss?

My favourite TUI Collection excursion “A tale of two and a half city” takes you on a journey through time. First you’ll visit fabulous Lindos, famous for its beautiful Acropolis and perfect white little houses. After enjoying Greek coffee on one of the beautiful rooftop terraces we will head on to the antique part of Rhodes city. Last but not least, we will explore the old town which is part of UNESCO World Heritage.

Did you know …

… that Rhodes is also called the “Island of the Sun“ thanks to Helios, the god of the sun? In fact, Rhodes has an average of 300 sunny days per year.
