Why is Palermo so popular this year especially in France?
Sicily has always been a strong favorite among French customers for many, many years. It is a very fashionable destination at the moment and it is famous for being a fantastic Mediterranean beach destination. The island offers a great mixture of spectacular sandy beaches, stunning landscapes and magnificent historical buildings and archaeological sites. In fact, Sicily has recently earned the title of UNESCO Heritage Site, together with Cefalù and Monreale, thanks to its historical Arab-Norman monuments. This has really helped raising the profile of the island. Sicily also has a large French community which also adds to its popularity.
