TUI WORKWIDE Switzerland – Ivo Anderegg

As a global travel group, TUI wants to enable its employees to work abroad from time to time. The pandemic in particular has shown that flexible working is possible. For this reason, TUI WORKWIDE was launched in 2021. Colleagues can work abroad for up to 30 days a year to have a healthy work-life balance. This balance is important for a fulfilling career and overall personal well-being.

Ivo Anderegg is a Data Manager at TUI Group in Spain. With TUI WORKWIDE he moved his workplace from the Balearic island of Mallorca to the mountains – more precisely to Switzerland in the middle of the Alps.

Here is his story

“A very personal statement to start with: Being able to work remotely up to 30 working days per calendar year from anywhere in the world using TUI WORKWIDE was a game changer for my mental health and my work-life balance.

Last autumn I spent some time with family and friends in Mexico after years without seeing them. It was great, being able to combine TUI WORKWIDE with holidays and extend the stay. This time, I was in Switzerland where my parents and brother live. Even though I worked, it was priceless to spend quality time together with friends and family by doing hikes and excursions together during the weekend. My batteries were getting re-charged even though I worked during the day.

The last two years were difficult and challenging for all of us. But the ways of working and TUI WORKWIDE had a huge positive impact on my daily routines. I see myself with more energy, focused and concentrated than before and I am already looking forward to the next nice family dinner and another excursion in the mountains.”
