TUI Blue, TUI Group’s new experience hotel brand, is set for continued growth, expanding its portfolio with the construction of a new hotel in Austria and four further hotels around the Mediterranean.
With TUI Blue Pulse Montafon, a further mountain hotel of the brand is under construction in an ideal skiing and hiking location in the Austrian villages of Schruns-Tschagguns. The construction of the new hotel with 149 rooms is scheduled for completion in Summer 2019. In addition, suitable hotels from TUI Hotels & Resorts’ existing portfolio are being repositioned as TUI Blue hotels. From the Summer 2018 season, the portfolio will be expanded to include TUI Blue Rocador in Mallorca, TUI Blue Falesia in Portugal, TUI Blue Palm Beach Palace in Djerba and TUI Blue Marmaris in Turkey.
“TUI Blue is the focus of TUI Group’s hotel strategy and a key driver of our growth roadmap, alongside well-known brands such as Riu and Robinson,” said Thomas Pietzka, Managing Director TUI Hotels & Resorts. “In order to achieve a significant size with our new brand, we will not only build new hotels but also reposition existing properties.” Further hotels are scheduled for repositioning in the Winter 2018/19 and Summer 2019 seasons.
“The extremely positive customer feedback for our existing TUI Blue hotels has shown that our concept has been very well received,” said Artur Gerber, Managing Director TUI Blue. “By launching our next growth phase, we will not only expand the portfolio of destinations for our existing customers, but offer even more people the opportunity to get to know our new experience hotel brand.” TUI Blue has already launched six hotels in the market within one year, targeting an international, modern audience with an affinity for lifestyle. The next new hotel will be TUI Blue Jadran in Croatia, opening in Summer 2017.
