- TUI again listed on the renowned Sustainability Index for the eleventh consecutive year

High scores in the categories Corporate Citizenship and Eco-Efficiency
TUI Group is listed on the renowned Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for the eleventh year running. Moreover, TUI is the only tourism group to feature in the World and Europe Indices. TUI Group has also been recognised as industry leader. At the annual review of the composition of the index, the Company received top scores in various categories including Corporate Citizenship, Climate Strategy, and Eco-Efficiency.
“As the world’s leading tourism business, TUI recognizes that the tourism sector shares responsibility for sustainable development and we actively engage in many ways to support this. We see the societal and economic potential of tourism to benefit people throughout the world. Since the publication of our a year ago, we have worked hard to achieve our ambitious 2020 targets. Being listed again is an acknowledgment of our work.”, said Thomas Ellerbeck, member of the TUI Group Executive Committee, whose responsibilities include the Group’s sustainability programmes around the world. Last year the TUI Group presented its sustainability strategy for the years 2015-2020 under the title “Better Holidays, Better World”.
