The workers had to look twice: you don't see a man with a Christmas hat over his construction helmet with a sledge and rod, and a woman with a reindeer hairband on the TUI Campus construction site every day. There, on Karl-Wiechert-Allee in Hanover, TUI's new headquarters is currently being built: a modern workplace of the future for a corporate culture characterised by collaboration and openness. Employees are due to move in during autumn 2022.
Currently, the building is a construction site – and the visitor with the Christmas hat and his companion with the reindeer hairband are André Borchers, Head of Technical Facility Management at TUI, and TUI Campus Project Manager Inga Meyer. They have thrown on these special outfits to give the construction site team a little pre-Christmas surprise: They loaded their sleigh with dozens of Chocolate Santa’s and gave them to the team. "With this gesture we want to say thank you for the often strenuous work at our TUI Campus," says André Borchers, who is on the construction site every day – usually without chocolate in his luggage. The pre-Christmas surprise was all the more successful as the workers' joy at the unexpected attention was palpable.
