Yesterday, the TUI Group was honoured for its sustainability strategy in the area oftechnology. Isabelle Droll (Master Domain Owner) and Frieder Olfe (Head of Sustainability Technology) accepted the SustainableIT Impact Award in the "Governance" category in Hamburg. TUI prevailed against more than 60 nominations. It was selected as the winner by a jury of IT and sustainability experts, researchers and other specialists. In the Governance category, the jury specifically recognises those organisations that firmly integrate sustainability into their decision-making processes. The sustainability strategy of the technology division is an integral part of the tech strategy.
"This award is a confirmation of our strategy to firmly integrate sustainability in all business areas. Based on the TUI Sustainability Agenda, we have implemented the sustainability strategy for the technology sector. We were able to count on the support of the entire IT Leadership Team. The award is also recognition for the team led by Frieder Olfe, who are driving the implementation of our tech sustainability strategy forward with commitment," says Isabelle Droll.
The SustainableIT Impact Award is presented by SustainableIT.org, a non-profit organisationbased in the USA. Its mission is to bring together technology leaders in the field of sustainable transformation and to raise awareness of sustainable transformation in the IT industry.
