Exploring the world of cruises: Our Trainees Lilie Doing and Celine Höck, both from the TUI Store in Frankfurt, had the opportunity to do so. Together with about 60 other trainees and Melanie Bösselmann, from our Cruise marketing department, they went on board of the MSC Virtuoso.
Here’s their report:
„As first-year trainees we were very fortunate to be able to take part in the Young Professionals Cruise Night, on a three-day journey from Hamburg to Rotterdam.
As it was our first time on a cruise ship, we didn‘t really know what to expect. Upon first boarding the ship, we were stunned by the 100-meter long Galleria interior promenade, spanned by a sparkling LED sky and the ‚famous‘ Swarovsky crystal stairs. In the evening we had a meet & greet in the TV studio on deck seven with the MSC Young Prof team. During our joint three-course meal in the 'Opera' à la carte restaurant, we enjoyed the MSC Virtuosa leaving the port of Hamburg.
The next morning we started our day at sea with an indescribable view of the North Sea and breakfast in the Marketplace Buffet restaurant. Refreshed, we went to the Galleria promenade for an interesting tour of the ship. We toured different cabin types, numerous specialty restaurants and met Rob, the first humanoid robotic bartender at sea, who mixed us cocktails in the MSC Starship Club. The MSC Young Prof Team then organized a workshop in the Carousel Lounge at the stern of the ship with captivating presentations and information about the MSC fleet.
After dinner in the Opera restaurant, we were ready for the Silent Party with a great atmosphere. Finally, we went to the Attic Club on deck 18, where all the youngsters met to enjoy the last evening. Looking back, we are certain that this definitely won’t be or last cruise!“
