One of the highlights for our German trainees and students during their apprenticeship time is the ‘destination educational trip’. With a new aspect added this year: the tour guide assignment. The first week is spent visiting hotels & getting to know TUI’s excursions and activities, while the second week is spent learning about various tour guide activities.
After a break of two years due to Corona, 17 trainees as well as students from TUI in Germany, set off on a trip to Crete at the beginning of June. They visited numerous hotels and got to know the life of their TUI colleagues in destination. Hotels visited were ‘TUI Magic Life Candia Maris’, ‘Grecotel Lux Me White Palace’ and ‘Hotel Golden Beach’. At the ‘TUI Blue Elounda Breeze’ hotel, they were introduced to TUI Blue’s entertainment program.
Another highlight was that they became Airport Reps for a day at Heraklion Airport and visited the TUI office in Heraklion. Time for a refreshment? They also enjoyed ‘after work’ and ‘lunchtime’ dips in the pool – a must when it is a sunny 36 degrees.
