The lifestyle hotel brand TUI Blue has reopened its resort in Zanzibar. Last year, TUI Group had repositioned the former ‘Dream of Zanzibar‘ resort and opened a hotel of its flagship brand ‘TUI Blue’ in Tanzania for the first time. Unfortunately, after only a few months of operation, the hotel was affected by a fire, which had spread from a neighbouring hotel. Thankfully, all guests and staff members were brought to safety. However, the hotel had to be temporarily closed for reconstruction.
Now, the return of the holiday resort has been celebrated by a ribbon cutting ceremony attend by the President of Zanzibar, H.E. Hon. Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi and other representatives of the government. Erik Friemuth, Managing Director TUI Hotels & Resorts, as well as the TUI Blue managing directors Artur Gerber and Jano Martin were delighted to welcome their guests and extended their heartfelt appreciation for the support received during the last time. After 11 months of renovation, the resort designed in African-Arab architectural style reopened with 50 new rooms, as well as new public and dining facilities.
The TUI Blue concept is focused on authentic experiences within the holiday region and offers hotel service tailored to the individual needs and preferences of its guests. The hotels features local cuisine with international influences, providing high-quality food as well as a wide range of daytime and evening activities. Zanzibar, located in the Indian Ocean is increasingly becoming a trending destination, for both beach holidaymakers and those wanting to explore culture diversity on the island.
