“Greece has been one of TUI’s most popular and safe holiday destinations in 2020 and 2021. The Greek Government has done outstanding efforts in driving Greek tourism through the current unprecedented crisis and has successfully handled the restart of travel in Greece. This was greatly supported by Harry Theoharis, the former Tourism Minister and by his succesor as the new Tourism Minister, Vassilis Kikilias, the previous Minister of Health. This marks a strong alignment proving that tourism and health go hand in hand. With the reshuffle of the Cabinet of the Greek Government, we want to thank Minister Theoharis for the excellent cooperation with the TUI Group. We would like to express our appreciation for this collaboration which has put Greece at the top of Europe’s tourism.
