TUI France is seeing very positive booking trends since April and there is an increasing booking dynamic in the recent weeks. More than 5,500 French guests per week are currently visiting the TUI France clubs Marmara and Lookéa, which is the same level of bookings as in June 2019. TUI France currently offers around 40 destinations. On average 47% of our holidaymakers are families, followed by 38% couples. The most booked holiday destination of French TUI guests is Greece, especially Crete, Athens and Corfu. Spain and Italy are also very popular this year with Mallorca and Sicily being among the top five destinations. Apart from this, French customers are choosing Bulgaria for their summer holidays this year as well as domestic travels in various regions of France. TUI France developed a domestic offer this summer by launching a first club in the Provence area in order to adapt to customer demand in COVID times. Our new Club Marmara comes in addition to two clubs in Corsica and a programme of six accompanied tours in mainland France
There is also a trend of so-called “ultra-last minute” bookings, which proves that the French are ready to go on holiday as soon as a destination opens and is safe to travel. For example, in May and June 15 percent of the daily bookings were for departures before the end of the respective month.
