TUI Nordic guest are very keen to travel to the Mediterranean this year. Operations in all four markets – Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland – are ongoing since July 2021. This is the first time in almost a year, where all four markets are operating at the same time.
TUI guests from Northern Europe are currently heading to eight holiday destinations in four European countries. Greece is particularly popular, especially Rhodes, Crete and the Aegean island of Samos. Spain is also a popular choice, especially the Balearic island of Majorca. Besides Greece and Spain, guests are heading to Cyprus this year. The island of Aphrodite lands among the five most popular destinations for Scandinavian holidaymakers.
Jessica Enbacka, Managing Director of TUI Nordic is optimistic: "The future of package holiday looks bright, and we see many Nordic customers booking with us again. Today, we are also happy to announce that we will be doubling the TUI planes permanently based in the Nordics. This is a consequence of the efforts made by many during the past year and a half. Our customers love to fly with TUI”. This means that, after extensive post-Brexit discussions with the authorities, the TUI fly Nordic fleet is increasing. For the first time, even a Boeing 787 will be placed in the Nordic Air Operator Permit (AOC). TUI in the Nordics will also wet lease further two UK-based 787s this winter to fulfil customer demand.
