In preparation for the restart of tourism, further hotels of the TUI Group reopened in December. Holidaymakers have the opportunity to experience a relaxing stay in these resorts under the highest Covid-19 standards.
TUI Hotels: New and reopenings in the Christmas period
In December, TUI Group reopened further Canary Islands hotels for their guests. Riu is also launching a new hotel in Dubai.
Christmas under palm trees
Since 5 December, the TUI Magic Life Club on Fuerteventura has been open to its guests again and the team is looking forward to lively interest shown by those seeking relaxation. Workation – the combination of work and holiday – is also possible at the resort's Private Lodge.
In the light of the upcoming Christmas season, the well-established hotel brand RIU has also reopened further hotels on the Canary Islands. Among them, the Riu Palace Jandia has just been upgraded to the 5-star category through a comprehensive redesign with modernised rooms, a new themed restaurant with fusion cuisine as well as an extended sun terrace. In addition to the hotel on Fuerteventura, three other RIU properties on the islands have restarted operations: The Riu Vistamar on Gran Canaria and adults-only Riu Arecas on Tenerife are already open. On 19 December, the Riu Palace Meloneras, also on Gran Canaria, will follow. This makes a total of 11 of the 17 RIU hotels on the Canary Islands to choose from for the Christmas season.
The lifestyle hotel brand TUI Blue is back on Lanzarote: since mid-December, the TUI Blue Flamingo Beach welcomes young and old guests on the island again. This extends the brand's offer for families over the festive season, alongside the TUI Blue Bahia Feliz on Gran Canaria. The two Robinson Clubs on Fuerteventura also remain open, offering their guests a relaxed and safe club holiday over the holidays.
New Riu Hotel in Dubai
RIU is also already preparing for the restart of its hotel business in 2021 with a new opening in the United Arab Emirates. In mid-December, the Riu Dubai was opened, the brand's first hotel in the Middle East. The large 800-room oceanfront resort is also the first family-friendly all-inclusive four-star hotel in the popular holiday destination.
The new holiday destination in Deira Islands has been created through a cooperation between RIU Hotels & Resorts and the Nakheel Group, who have also been involved in the development of projects such as The Palm Jumeirah. The Riu Dubai offers two pools for children and three large pools for adults. Within the hotel complex there is also a 'Splash' water park with slides and attractions for both adults and children. The hotel has four restaurants and six bars. In addition, the popular 24-hour All Inclusive Service by RIU is available to guests. The RIU brand thus grows to over 100 hotels in 20 countries worldwide.
